TUTORING SERVICES
NEED HELP WITH YOUR ACADEMICS?
Tutoring support for students at Emporia State University is now located in Memorial Union. CRLA-certified tutors support students by providing free services and resources which include tutoring for most general education courses, writing support, student success coaching, workshops, and more! We work closely with students, faculty and staff to provide collaborative relationships that support students all across campus. The primary goal of tutoring is to assist students with defining and achieving academic success so they can complete their undergraduate degrees.
Schedule and Classes
We have tutors available for support during the following hours:
- Sundays: 5 PM – 7 PM
- Mondays: 8 AM – 8 PM
- Tuesdays: 8 AM – 6 PM
- Wednesdays: 8 AM – 6 PM
- Thursdays: 8 AM – 8 PM
We offer tutoring for most general education courses, including:
- Comp I and II, Chem I and II
- General Biology
- College Algebra
- Intro to Psychology
- Intro to Sociology
- Accounting
- Spanish
- Various History courses
Students can access both scheduled and drop-in appointment times through the Navigate app > Appointments > Get Assistance > Academic Tutoring.

Student Success Coaching
ACES offers FREE individualized coaching sessions for students who would like to improve their college success skills. Students can meet with an experienced student success coach to discuss challenges they are currently facing that hinder their academic success as a student. Some of the skills that students can enhance through the utilization of this service include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Note Taking & Study Skills
• Goal Setting
• Test Taking
• Etiquette for the College Environment

Immersive Reader in Canvas
The Immersive Reader is available when viewing pages in Canvas. The Immersive Reader provides a variety of tools and options to enhances one's reading experience by improving accessibility and boosting reading comprehension.
MindView
MindView is an innovative and intuitive mind mapping software tool that is used by students all around the world to assist them throughout their educational careers. It also provides students with templates for outlines and PowerPoint presentations, and students can export their work to MS Word, Google Docs, and more! Read&Write
Read&Write is a literacy support tool that offers help with everyday tasks like reading text out loud, understanding unfamiliar words, researching assignments and proofing written work.
