Available Exams + Testing
Sexual Health Exams
Free STI testing (HIV, gonorrhea, syphilis, & chlamydia) plus the cost of a provider visit. STI treatment & birth control including implants, IUC.
Mental Health Diagnosis
Medical management of mental health diagnosis; primarily depression, anxiety, ADHD.
Now offering Genesight genetic testing to guide mental health prescribing.
Physicals For Academic Programs
Physicals for academic programs such as Teaching and Nursing.
Immunizations and TB tests.
Acute Illness Care
Diagnosis and treatment of acute illness such as Strep, Covid, Mono.
Nurse consults are free.

Counseling services offers free same day immediate access appointments to students during operating hours.
Mental Health Resources
Counseling Services are provided to ESU students in person or virtually through HIPAA-Compliant Zoom.
All ESU students have been enrolled in the Counseling Center Resource course in Canvas. ESU Students can navigate to the Counseling Center Resource tile on your dashboard in Canvas to access the course. The course connects you to apps to manage stress, ideas for positive coping strategies, and other student resources for emotional support.
Suicide Prevention
If you or someone you know is feeling suicidal or planning to complete suicide.
Stress + Depression questionnaire
Students can take a stress and depression questionnaire and dialogue with a counselor anonymously at https://emporia.caresforyou.org
TELUS
Counseling Services is partnering with Telus Student Support to provide supplemental mental health services for all ESU students. The Telus Student Support app provides ESU students with no-cost, 24/7 mental health and wellbeing support. Students can access counseling and mental health support in 150+ languages and can download the app in 5 languages.
