Emergency Visa Interview Letter Policy -

Many universities in the United States do not issue Emergency Appointment Letters for international student visa interviews, as such letters do not impact appointment scheduling. Exceptions may be considered only if a formal request from the U.S. Embassy or Consulate is accompanied by documented evidence justifying urgency. We appreciate your understanding as we adhere to established visa application procedures. 

Proof of Enrollment -
Enrollment verifications requests are processed by the Office of the Registrar. To order a verification, please call 620-341-5419 or email recordsroom@emporia.edu.  
 
Proof of Address -
To request a Proof of Address for obtaining a driver's license or opening a U.S. bank account, please complete the Proof of Address Letter request. Log into emporia-isss.terradotta.com. Select Start New Request and find Proof of Address Letter and start request. 
 
Invitation Letter -
If you would like to invite your family to the US and if the US embassy or consulate in your home country requires an invitation letter, please know that the OIE will not issue you an invitation letter as consulate officers typically do not look at non-required supporting documents. The OIE is not the inviter, so the letter should be personally written by you, the student. We recommend you simply use Google or an AI tool for generating an invitation template that you can use.  If your local embassy or consulate specifically asks for an invitation letter from the institution (ESU), please email oisa@emporia.edu with evidence of this formality.
